Sam Bose - co-Founder and CEO

Sam Bose

Sam is the CEO and co-founder of Zogix. Sam spent the past 11 years working in industry and consultancy. Prior to Zogix, Sam spent 5 years in Deloitte where he worked on projects across a range of industries from Technology, Communications to Financial Services and Pharmaceuticals. He was involved in incubating several new service propositions. The new business unit supported creation of three successful service propositions, which resulted in an acquisition in the space.

His previous exposure in GE and Motorola gave him wide functional experience and co-founding Synerzi - a business to business pharmaceutical exchange gave him the startup experience. Sam is passionate about creating a differentiated proposition that can support the emerging networking models and enable enterprises to leverage these models. A firm believer in the open source movement and its benefits for both software developers and consumers. Sam holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the Strathlcyde Graduate Business School in Scotland with experience of working across US, Europe and Asia.

Charles Vivian - co-Founder and COO

Charles Vivian

Charles is the COO and co-founder of Zogix and has 15 years of business operations, new business start up and new product development experience. Charles has played leading roles in setting up new businesses for several global corporations including a collaborative new product development function for a global mobile service provider, a project management business and an e-business accelerator in California.

Charles started his career as a Chartered Surveyor specializing in commercial property development and development finance. He then joined Deloitte where he spent over 8 years working globally within their Strategy and Operations practice, primarily in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Outside Zogix, Charles leads Adventure Racing for Charity, a charitable foundation that raises money for good causes by undertaking some of the world's toughest challenges. Events completed to date include a cross Channel swim and the Marathon des Sables.

Mike Hallett

Mike Hallett

Mike brings over 30 years of experience to Zogix in managing global software businesses, nurturing start-up companies towards growth and profitability and developing and leveraging global relationships and networks. Mike served in various executive level sales and business development roles at Oracle and Siebel during the rapid rise of both companies in the 1990s and also held senior positions at Stratus Computer, Ultimate Inc., Honeywell and Philips. Most recently Mike was Senior Vice President for worldwide sales at Questra, and intelligent device management company and Senior Vice President at Kintana where he doubled the company's revenue growth in 2001 and 2002, and helped drive the strategic repositioning that led to the successful acquisition by Mercury Interactive. Mike is currently the Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations for Collabnet.

Dan Viza

Dan is the Director of Corporate Technology Strategy for Freescale Semiconductor where he is focused on corporate strategy development, portfolio management, technology strategy planning and execution, and M and A. Dan has over 20 years of technology industry experience including roles in general management, corporate development, and strategy functions.

Prior to joining Freescale, Dan was with Motorola, Inc. as General Manager of its Motorola Manufacturing Systems business where he led the strategy which turned the organization from a technology research and transfer center into a profitable and commercially viable global supplier of automated manufacturing systems, software, and services for the electronics and semiconductor industries. Dan was also an early driver in Motorola's efforts in founding a life sciences based business unit, which resulted in the CodeLinkTM bioarray business which is now a business unit of General Electric.

Dan has previously served on the board of directors of Oisin Systems, Inc. a manufacturing outsourcing collaboration software company which was acquired by iManage (now Interwoven), and Surf Communications Solutions, a voice over IP software company.

Dan holds four US patents and graduated with highest honors from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and also holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh in the UK.

Lori Holland

Lori has served as a director of Bookham Technology plc since April 1999 and in addition Lori is currently a consultant to various technology startups. Until December 2000, Lori was the Chief Financial Officer of Zaffire, Inc., a telecommunication company in California. Before that, from 1996 to December 1999, Lori also served as a consultant to various technology startups. From 1995 to 1996, she was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NeoMagic Corporation.

Prior to NeoMagic, Lori was the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Read-Rite Corporation from 1990 to 1995. Lori also serves as a director and an audit committee member of Credence Systems Corporation, a test equipment supplier to the semiconductor industry, based in Silicon Valley. Lori received a BS in Economics from California Polytechnic University.

Renah Persofsky

Renah Persofsky is the founder, and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Dexit Incorporated (now HDX Inc); a Toronto-based company that recently brought an innovative, electronic payment service to the Canadian marketplace.

Prior to starting Dexit, Renah served as an officer of the Bank of Montreal and was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Cebra Inc., a wholly owned electronic commerce subsidiary of the bank. Before joining the bank, Renah held executive positions at Bryker Data Systems Limited and MSA/Dun & Bradstreet Software. She was a member of the Minister's Advisory Committee on Electronic Commerce and led a Canada Electronic Commerce trade mission to Israel and represented the Canadian business community at the OECD Summit in Turku, Finland.

Renah was a governor of the Information Technology Association of Canada, a member of the Federal Government Committee for Electronic Commerce and Revenue, and sat on the Sectoral Advisory Group on International Trade (SAGIT), which provides advice to the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Trade.

Renah is an avid Jazz fan and is Vice-Chairperson of Toronto's Jazz FM Radio. She is also on the Board as a Director for Medworxx Inc and Silverback Media PLC.
